Black Dog ghosts have been sighted and recorded for nearly 1,000 years and yet most people know little about this area of folklore. In this specially recorded 90 minute talk for Circle of Spears, the author discusses the background to this legendary beast by using a range of examples from his archives. Many cases from the South West of the UK are related to illustrate the themes, including an analysis of the history of 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.
